The drop earrings ‘the turbine’ are a homage to Claude Dornier, the ingenious designer and visionary of the air. A visit to the Dornier Museum during a holiday at Lake Constance put me in touch with the seaplanes he had developed. The shape of the turbines – which were on the wings for the first time in history – was the source of inspiration for the design of this ear jewellery.
Up in the air, we’re much closer to the stars and the sun. Neon-blue paraibas in stars made with a graver and orange-red mandarin garnets that resemble the setting sun are united in these ‘turbines of the sky’.
